For our final part on the Vice Presidential debate we are going to be covering the final questions asked of the VP candidates. In this part the question are more rapid and all over the place on topics so lets get right into it and break it down!

The next topic was on gun control and gun violence in America. Vance was up first and talked about how from what he has seen 90% of crimes committed with guns are illegally obtained firearms which he pointed to Harris being behind. He also stated that his solution to one of the issues over gun control is to increase security in places like schools to better protect children. Walz responded stating that they wanted to protect the Second Amendment and allow people to own guns, but felt as though there was more that can be done to protect kids. The next topic was housing. Walz talked about how him and Harris wanted to make housing more affordable for people and for it to be easier for them to buy a house, while Vance talked about using federal land that isn't being used to build more houses he also blamed Harris for allowing illegal immigrants and them taking houses away from Americans. Vance also stated that they wanted to lower the costs of housing by lowering energy costs. The next topic was over health care. Vance was up first first and talked about how they wanted to protect those with pre-existing conditions, how they wanted to lower the costs of medications, and how they wanted to reinstate some of the regulations Trump implemented when he was in office. Walz stated how him and Harris wanted to support the Affordable Care Act, and how Trump and Walz wanted to go back to pre-ACA. The next topic was childcare. Walz talked first about wanting to implement a federal paid family medical leave program to solve some of the issues around childcare. Vance responded stating that they wanted to promote women to be able to choose the method of childcare the worked best for them. Vance also talked about how they would achieve a childcare credit by punishing businesses for sending jobs overseas. Walz was asked about how they would afford the childcare credit but instead of answering the question he criticized the Trump plan. The last topic of the debate was the state of democracy. It is here that the debate went back and forth a lot between the two candidates with Walz criticizing Trump for his handling of January 6th, while Vance criticized Harris for censorship.
