Trump's Cabinet Picks are Taking Shape
In my final blog post for this class I wanted to look at something that has been dominating the news cycle recently and that has been Trumps cabinet picks for his next term as President. In this post I just want to go over some of these picks and just give some information on them. So let's break it down! So first let's begin with some of the picks that to me seem reasonable, and then we'll get into the more interesting ones. First up Marco Rubio for Secretary of State. Marco Rubio is a Senator from Florida who ran against Trump way back in 2016. He has held his position in the Senate since 2011, and seems like a fairly safe choice for the position. There's the Secretary of Veterans Affairs nominee Dough Collins. Collins served in the House of Representatives from 2013-2021, has had service in the military, has served on the Veterans Affairs committee while he was in the Georgia legislature, and is a staunch Republican. he is not a surprising choice from Trump to make...
